After graduating from SUNY Buffalo Medical School, Dr. Sullivan completed her Psychiatry Residency at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center. She followed this with a fellowship in Child and Adolescent psychiatry at LIJ and received the award for clinical excellence upon graduation from the program. Dr. Sullivan is Board Certified in both Adult Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. She has been working as a child, adolescent and adult psychiatrist at the Arista Center for Psychotherapy in Forest Hills for the last 12 years. She also works as a psychiatrist at The Jewish Board, Pride of Judea, in Douglaston. There, she both works as a psychiatrist and also supervises and teaches resident physicians who are training to become psychiatrists. Dr. Sullivan is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at the Columbia University Medical School.
After graduating with a bachelor’s in psychology, magna cum laude, Avigail continued her education at Touro University where she obtained a second bachelor’s in Health Sciences and a master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies. She was then certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Outside of her busy life of health and medicine, Avigail enjoys spending quality time with her family while also being involved in various community initiatives. Avigail is a dedicated and compassionate provider.
Asher has been working in the mental health field for over a decade. Before joining our team he worked as a clinical therapist for The Jewish Board, Pride of Judea clinic. Additionally, Asher works as a Middle school social worker at an area school. Asher received his MSW from Yeshiva University’s Wurtzweiler School of Social work in 2010. He works with adolescents and adults. He treats a variety of Mental health issues including anxiety, depression, pornography addiction, men’s issues, employment challenges, and grief counseling.

Shimmie is a licensed mental health counselor, psychotherapist, and school psychologist with over 15 years of experience. Shimmie has extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and adults who present with a wide range of issues, including ADHD, Anxiety, OCD, Depression, anger issues, oppositionality, learning disorders, behavior issues, and school refusal. Shimmie’s therapeutic approach is collaborative and integrative, while grounded in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy. He received his master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Touro College and his master’s degree in School Psychology from Queens College, City University of New York. Shimmie is also employed as a School Psychologist for the New York City Department of Education.
